A driver needs sufficient time and distance to stop the driven vehicle in case the vehicle being followed in front stops abruptly. The faster the vehicle is driven, the greater the stopping distance required There are a number of rules that have been recognized to guarantee a safe distance when trailing the vehicle in front. The rules in question are
2 Second
As soon as the followed vehicle crosses a previously selected mark for example a tree, then the arrangement should be started by counting one thousand one thousand one, one thousand two. If the vehicle being driven arrives before the tree that is used as a marker, then the trailing distance is considered safe

4 Second
Vehicle A followed vehicle B with unsafe distance and too close. Vehicle B needs to calculate the 4-second rule to get a safe distance with vehicle C
Vehicle B closely follows the injury C. Vehicle A uses a 4-second rule for a safe distance behind vehicle B
