Accidents at intersections can be avoided if every road user knows and practices the rules at the intersection. In order to become a prudent driver, each driver is required to learn 4 basics at the intersection:
Know Directions
- Determine the direction and position of the vehicle
- Do Not Change Path at The Interchange
- Anticipating Danger at the Interchange
Slow Down Vehicle
- Vehicle disengagement when crossing intersections
- Completely unscrew the accelerator pedal, step on the brake pedal and increase the pressure until the vehicle stops.
- Maintain pressure to ensure that the vehicle stops safely and also so that the brake lights continue to turn on so that the rear driver can see the vehicle being stopped.
View Intent Through Position and Signal
- Show a desire to move and change traffic.
- Be in the right lane and signal early
Move Carefully
- Make sure the surrounding state is before moving
